Camp Maha is a great place to have fun, meet new friends and learn new skills! Our camping facilities are designed so you can make the most of your camping experience.

Maha Facilities

Lois Lodge
This warm multifunctional lodge has an incredible view of the Platte River. Accommodations include:

  • Day capacity for 50, overnight capacity for 30,
  • Commercial kitchen,
  • Multiple showers and restrooms,
  • Two meeting rooms,
  • Overlooking deck,
  • Grill and fire ring.

The lodge and deck are fully accessible.

Marie Lodge
This cozy lodge is ideal for small group or family gatherings. Accommodations include:

  • Day capacity for 25, overinght capacity for 20
  • Residential kitchen,
  • Showers and restrooms,
  • Two meeting rooms,
  • Covered lower-level patio,
  • Wood-burning stove and fire ring.

Environmental-Education Center
This architectural-design-winning, two-story facility overlooks the Platte River and Girlfriends Garden. Accommodations include:

  • Capacity for 40,
  • Wraparound decks on each level,
  • Kitchenette (lower level),
  • Restroom on each level and
  • Environmental-education displays.

The center and decks are fully accessible.

Tent Units
Overnight campers will want to experience one of the four platform-tent sites nestled in the woodlands. Platforms are 12 feet by 14 feet canvas structures with wooden floors. Accommodations include:

  • Pavilion shelter with brick fireplace and electricity,
  • Refrigerator,
  • Cots and mattresses,
  • Running water,
  • Latrines and
  • Fire rings.

Romany site is accessible. Tent season is April 1 - October 31.

Pool and Bathhouse
The Olympic-size pool and accessible bathhouse are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Lifeguard is required. Capacity: 150 swimmers

Audio-Visual
Audio-visual equipment is available upon request:

  • TV/VCR . Easels and charting paper
  • Projection screens . Podium
  • Overhead projector

Using the Internet
Surfing the web is a big responsibility. The Girl Scouts - Great Plains Council recommends that you go online only with the supervision and approval of an adult. GSGPC has programs that teach girls how to use the web effectively for things like school work, badge and Try-It requirements, and, of course, for fun!
